Enjoy is a verb, not an adjective
Very often I hear my students say things like:
“I was enjoy to see my friend”
This is not correct. “Enjoy” is a verb and not an adjective. So this sentence should be:
“I was very happy to see my friend”
How to use enjoy?
Where did you go?
- I went to a party.
Did you enjoy yourself?
- yes I had a great time
I doing a training course this week
- Oh, I hate it when I’m on training, it’s so boring
Not this one, I’m really enjoying it, it’s very interesting
What do you do in your free time?
- well, I enjoy going to nice restaurants, and I go swimming when I can
