Word of the day: Put Off

Put off is a phrasal verb.
If you put off doing something, you decide to not do it now but at some time in the future.

“Never put off until tomorrow things you can do today”.

Very often, we put off doing things because they are unpleasant.

A second meaning of put off is to discourage someone from doing something:

I was going to try that new restaurant, but I heard so many bad things about it, it put me off
