How to write a check (American English)

I thought this video was interesting just to show the difference between a French cheque and an American one. Notice that when Americans sign their names, they simple write their first name and surname, and don’t really have a distinctive signature like we Europeans. An American colleague explained that this is the way they are taught to do it in school.
