(not) going to

do walk go make etc…

If you have planned something for the future, you can say ‘I’m going to…’

• I’m going to cook Indian food tonight

• I’m going to talk to Ian about his attitude

We often use the present progressive to talk about future events:

“What are you doing tonight?”

- “I’m playing football”
