Translation test: modals and conditionals (very hard!)
Try this test. Put the French sentences first, then try to translate them into English. Switch on the sound to listen to them.
here are some notes:
aurais dû : should have : this is often contracted to “should’ve” or even “shoulda”. More information about these contractions here
aurais pu : could have.

Texte traduit: La traduction n’est pas facile. Mais elle peut être facile si tu es habitué aux deux langues: langue cible et langue d’origine. Tu aurais pu me demander de traduire de la langue maternelle à la langue anglaise si tu la cannaissais. Cependant, je prefère cette voix parce qu’ elle renforce mes capacités en langues
Translation
Translation is not easy. But it could be easy only if you used to speak both languages: the target language one et the original language one. You should have asked me to translate from mother language to English language if you knew this. However, I prefer this way because it strengethens my skills language.
